Easy M&M Flower Cupcakes

M&M Flower Cupcakes

One good thing about the commercialization of Easter (okay, maybe the only good thing!) is the abundance of pastel-colored candy, which makes simple and girly flower cupcakes like these possible!

The flowers themselves need no explanation, but I did want to share my secret for easy and scrumptious cupcakes for those of you who might prefer boxed mixes and canned frosting like I do. It’s simple: Betty Crocker’s Whipped Fluffy White frosting. I have to tell you, I don’t even like frosting usually (yep, we’re one of those couples – Sean eats the icing, and I eat the cake!), but this stuff is amazing!

This post was unsolicited, and I haven’t been paid to write it, but if Betty Crocker sees it and offers me a case of the stuff, you can bet I’m taking it! LOL!

  1. cute & simple - I love it!!!

  2. I so wish I would have had one of those cupcakes stands years ago. When dd turned 5, we went to Chuck’s pizza place (YKWIM) and I took 5 cupcakes. That was it. From then on to about age 21, she had cupcakes for her birthday. Chocolate cupcakes with Seven Minute Frosting. Every. Year. :)

Your stand makes such a cute display!

  5. Very cute cupcakes! I have that same cupcake stand and you have inspired me once again. I love how you make such great birthday memories for your girls without going over budget. This year, I plan to incorporate some of your ideas for my girls’ parties. Thank you!

  7. Very cute. I’m planning a flower party for my Girly Pie’s first birthday in May, and these might just fit the bill…

And I am the same way about frosting. I laughed when I read that… my husband always eats my frsting, and I always go for just the cake, too! My boys think I am crazy (as does my hubby!). I will have to try the one you mentioned.
