Footprint/Handprint Reindeers

by Mandi on December 5, 2008

I absolutely love how these footprint/handprint reindeer turned out. They were fun to make and so cute.

It’s a pretty self-explantory project, but just a few notes:

I had the girls sit on the table and put their foot down on top of the paper, and then I put my hand under the paper to lift it up to get the paint from their arches as well. It looks a little goofy if you just do a regular footprint, like the poor reindeer only has half a face.

The eyelashes on the right deer signify that she’s a she. According to Pumpkin Doodle, girls must have eyelashes and anything with eyelashes must be a girl.

To make the antlers, just put paint on the three middle fingers, not on the rest of the hand or the thumb.

I think these would make really cute Christmas cards too, but since mine are in the mail, it’s a little too late for this year!
