Banana-Yogurt Parfaits

My girls often request cheerios with bananas for breakfast, but they’re never, ever full until they’ve eaten through three bags of the stuff. Okay, it’s not quite that bad, but sometimes it feels like it. This morning, I decided to try something new, and I came up with the yummy parfaits. They were a HUGE hit, and after scarfing them down, nobody needed seconds.

To make, I used 2 containers of Yo-Plus Cherry yogurt and an equal amount of plain yogurt plus 2 bananas and several layers of cheerios. I layered each ingedient twice in each glass, and I think the girls liked looking at them as much as they liked eating them!

I love Wyman’s frozen wild blueberries and raspberries because they are such good quality and don’t usually come frozen in one hard chunk of fruit, so I’ll definitely be making some variations of these using those.

After my husband snags me a $4 crockpot at Wal-Mart on Friday (yes, it’s true – $4! – and I’m so excited to have a small one!), I plan to try making my own yogurt.
