Baby Doll Diaper Bags

Look! I finished the girls’ babydoll diaper bags, and I think they turned out so cute! Trust me when I say they’re not perfect by any means, but I’m pretty proud of myself. I haven’t pressed the seams yet, and I’m not sure I’m going to, but I’m sure they would look nicer if I did!

And I’ll admit it, while I have both a Vera Bradley and a Ju-Ju-Bee diaper bag – both of which I love because they’re just so PRETTY – I’m thinking I’ll be making myself a custom designed diaper bag this time around. It certainly won’t be the same quality, but if it’s more functional, I’m all for it – and it’ll be fun to design and make it myself (and save $100 in the process!).

You see, when we leave the house, it’s usually for a fairly significant outing that requires changes of clothes, diapers, snacks, toys, etc., and I’d love to have a bag big enough to accomodate all of that AND keep it organized. I’m thinking a large diaper bag with three or four different sections so that the girls’ things aren’t all mixed up would be perfect! And then I can just stick with a small bag to take into the store/restaurant/church with me with space for a diaper and burp cloth.

How are your Christmas projects coming along?

  1. wow, good for you in making your own diaper bag. I do love Vera Bradley stuff too though.
