Button Ponytails as Stocking Stuffers or Party Favors

I originally saw these in Family Fun magazine, and I just finished making a bunch for our Operation Christmas Child boxes. My girls LOVE them, and Pumpkin Doodle was more than happy to model one this morning. I think they’ll be excited to find some in their stockings on Christmas morning since they know these are for the boxes.

The ones in Family Fun included a third larger button at the bottom, but the packs of buttons I had only included two sizes, and I think they still turned out cute! As is my theme, these are really easy.

Simply take your largest button and use a needle and thread to secure the button to the ponytail holder. Start above the button, so that your knot ends up between the two buttons when you’re done. Then use a dot of hot glue to glue the second button on top, and – tada! – you’ve got a fru-fru ponytail holder!
