Fun Party Favors in a Pop-Top Can!

pop top can party favors
Forget traditional party favor bags! These pop-top cans that I first found at Crafts on a Whim make an adorable alternative that’s not only cute, but also fun!

Obviously you can dress these up a lot more than I did (hey, first trimester = morning sickness and exhaustion, remember?), but I actually think they turned out pretty cute just like they are!

To make:

1. Buy small cans of fruit with pop-top lids, as many as you need.

2. Rather than opening the cans using the pop-top lids, turn them over and use a smooth-edge can opener to open the bottom.

3. Empty the can. Wash it. Let it dry.

4. Fill the can with candy or other treats.

5. Use Elmer’s glue to carefully glue the bottom of the can back on (be sure not to get any glue inside of the can!). Set a book on top to keep the bottom secure while the glue dries.

6. If you want to dress the can up, cut a piece of paper or fabric to size and glue it around the outside of the can, where the label used to be. I think brightly colored puff paint in cute patterns would be another cute alternative!

7. Tie fabric ribbon or curled gift ribbon to the pop top.

You’re done! Cute and easy!
