A Mother’s Day Craft
Here’s an easy and fun Mother’s Day craft, although, admittedly, it’s probably only easy if you have the supplies on hand.
To start, it involves one of my all-time favorite craft supplies: tissue paper squares. I’m addicted to these and have to refrain from buying every color variety that Oriental Trading Company (my favorite source for children’s craft supplies) offers.
I took a piece of cardstock and cut it into four pieces and then drew flower stems with bows on two of the pieces. Then, I set these out with tissue paper squares and glue for the girls to work on after their nap yesterday.
First, we scrunched all of the squares up. Some we scrunched up by themselves, and others we scrunched together in different color combinations.
Next, I put several dots across the top of the stems and let the girls glue the “flowers” to them. We added more glue as needed, and in the end, we had these bouquets of flowers to give to my mom tomorrow!
