I can’t even remember where I saw this for the first time, but we finally got around to doing it a few weeks ago, and the girls LOVED it. I just gave them each a toilet paper roll and a paper plate with paint on it, and they went to town. First we used the rim of the toilet paper roll to make circles, and then they used them as rollers.
A bonus of using the colored construction paper was we got to talk about mixing colors, but it would have been a hit even without that!
On a side note, Mandy left a link on my yogurt post for all of these great things to do with yogurt containers, and it mentioned painting with the rim of the cups as well. Same concept, and definitely one we’re going to try!

That looks like so much fun. We’re going to try it and I’ll let you know how it went.
Cute idea. Thanks.BR/Another great idea for toilet paper rolls is to wrap them in scrap fabric and put goodies inside, then embellish them for gifts. For complete step by step directions and a how-to video, visit http://www.kidoozy.com
