Pumpkin Doodle, 4.5 years old

I love this kid!!!

Four years old is such a fun, fun age, and Pumpkin Doodle’s huge personality just continues to get bigger. She’s sweet and funny and precocious, and she definitely keeps us on our toes!

She received the dress above from my mom on a Friday morning and proceeded to wear it for three days straight (and yes, I let her). She loves to dance and desperately wants to take ballet lessons. She is a girly-girl to the core!

On the other hand, we heard her say this to Monkey Doodle on Monday afternoon:

“Hey, Monkey Doodle, you know what I’m into? I’m into roses (those are a kind of flower) and lizards and bugs. And sometimes I’m into you.”

She’s since added slimy things to her list of things she’s into. LOL!

We’ve discovered in the last couple of weeks that she is a math whiz. She can do basic addition and subtraction in her head and is just about to finish a kindergarten math workbook that she started on Friday night and constantly begs me to do with her. She’s right on the cusp of reading but gets easily frustrated with herself when she doesn’t get it, so we’ve put that on the back burner for now.

A year ago, we were in the midst of some serious struggles (that was before I discovered that three years old is a hard age for a lot of kids and not just mine!), but this year I can’t get enough of her. She’s my little buddy, and I’m so proud of her!
