Handprint Calendar – Christmas in July

by Mandi on July 7, 2008

We made these handprint calendars last year for the grandparents and great-grandparents, and they were a huge hit. I think we’ll probably make them every year as a tradition, because we got such great reactions. It really is special to see their little handprints, and I’m looking forward to comparing this year’s to last years, especially since we’ll be adding Monkey Doodle’s handprints as well.

We will be starting ours in the early fall because we are blessed that our girls have 3 sets of grandparents and 6 sets of great-grandparents, and 9 copies of a 12-page calendar with 2 girls equals a LOT of handprints.

ETA: I’ve got an updated list of monthly themes for this year’s calendar here.

(This is a faint white snowflake. Hindsight is 20/20,
and I should have mixed a little blue into the paint to make it stand out!)

What a great idea! I am forwarding this to a friend of mine who teaches elementary kids…it would be a great Mother’s Day or Christmas project.
