Resurrection Rolls

I’ve seen several versions of ressurection cookies or croissants, but for this year’s Easter morning, I was looking for something very simple to illustrate the surprise of finding Jesus’ tomb empty on Easter morning. divdivdiv/divbr /divBefore waking the girls up, I prepared the croissant “tombs” by pinching two croissant triangles (from a can!) together:/divbr /div/divimg id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5196232907238642338″ style=”DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”" src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PoXHVGzLUGI/SBy6TF4nkqI/AAAAAAAAACc/xh5ZBE0Dhu0/s320/Resurrection+Rolls+1.JPG” border=”0″ /br /div/divdivI then let them each take a marshmallow that represented Jesus’ body and place it in the “tomb”. We pinched the opening together tight to seal it. /divbr /div/divimg id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5196234371822490290″ style=”DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”" src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_PoXHVGzLUGI/SBy7oV4nkrI/AAAAAAAAACk/pAdIZrshH8s/s320/Resurrection+Rolls+2.JPG” border=”0″ /br /divAfter cooking them, the shape of the marshmallow remained, but we were excited to find it empty when we cut them open (oops, I forgot a picture of that last part because we were so excited!)./divbr /img id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5196238293127631570″ style=”DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”" src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PoXHVGzLUGI/SBy_Ml4nktI/AAAAAAAAAC0/65vPkQDLEgQ/s320/Resurrection+Rolls+3.JPG” border=”0″ / div/divdiv/divdivAll in all, it was an easy Easter morning breakfast to illustrate Jesus’ resurrection and one I look forward to repeating next year!/divbr /div/divdiv/divdiva href=”http://www.mylivesignature.com/” target=”_blank”img style=”BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; BORDER-TOP: medium none; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-LEFT: medium none; BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none” src=”http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54486/128/0E4A8EA9D2A4A002FC32D3D163051882.png” //a/div/div/div
