Something Old…Something New – Toys from Snack Wrappers

Join me as I look for a href=”http://mythreedoodles.blogspot.com/2008/06/something-oldsomething-new.html”ways to make the most of our “trash” embefore/em it goes to be recycled or thrown away/a!br /br /One of our Sweet Doodle’s favorite “toys” these days is the crinkly wrapper that many snacks come in. Unfortunately for her, we don’t buy many of these individual serving snacks, but fortunately, my mom sent some back with Pumpkin Doodle after her recent visit.br /br /Because she puts everything in her mouth (like most nine month olds) when I let her play with the Yogos tubes, I was a little afraid that she would choke on them. That inspired this fun little craft, which I have since decided would make really cute play food for the big girls too.br /br /I started with two empty wrappers. I stuffed cotton balls in the first one and then sealed the end with hot glue. I filled the second one about halfway with dry beans and then sealed that end as well.br /br /All three girls are still playing with these two days later, and I’m definitely going to be more careful from now as I open other snack packages so that I can add to the collection!br /br /img id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214334166425679410″ style=”DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center” alt=”" src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PoXHVGzLUGI/SF0JTDH8NjI/AAAAAAAAATw/QxK8xNLT8hg/s320/Yogos+Toys+blog.JPG” border=”0″ /br /br /a href=”http://www.mylivesignature.com/” target=”_blank”img style=”BORDER-RIGHT: medium none; BORDER-TOP: medium none; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; BORDER-LEFT: medium none; BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none” src=”http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54486/128/0E4A8EA9D2A4A002FC32D3D163051882.png” //abr /br /br /––––-–––––-––––––––-–––––––-––––-––––––-–-––––––-–––-–-–––br /span style=”font-size:85%;”Check out /spana href=”http://mythreedoodles.blogspot.com/2008/06/and-this-weeks-favorite-things.html”span style=”font-size:85%;”this week’s giveaway/span/aspan style=”font-size:85%;”: A $25 gift certificate to /spana href=”http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=129253amp;merchantID=2533amp;programmeID=6755amp;mediaID=0amp;tracking=amp;url=http://www.duckduckgooseboutique.com/”span style=”font-size:85%;”Duck Duck Goose Boutique/span/aspan style=”font-size:85%;”!/span
